General Manager at Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club
February 2013 - January 2015
Selected as General Manager of this legendary and iconic club in Nashville, Tennessee, a member-owned and ClubCorp-managed property. This club was established in 1951 along the shoreline of Old Hickory Lake where Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison built their homes just down from the Marina. Reba McIntire and the Oak Ridge Boys were active members. The walls are lined with memorabilia of events held at this Club throughout its history. It remains the only Golf & Country Club in Nashville with a Yacht Club, a tennis & swim sports complex, plus a historical championship golf course played by many of the greats in the golf, film, and music worlds.
Golf and Resort Marketing at Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa

Chosen to lead the marketing and advertising for this massive fly-in destination resort in West Texas. Lajitas Golf Resort and Spas included a 27,000-acre resort with a Lanny Wadkins Signature Golf Course (Black Jack's Crossing at Lajitas), Stargazer Dinners, Cowboy Action Shooting, 5 Stand Sport Shooting, 100 different rooms, and 100-Pads Western RV Park. This resort included an aviation center, 6,700 feet runway, with destination resort amenities unmatched by many.
Co-Owner at InVicta Club
August 2001 - December 2011
Created a golf, sports, and entertainment company that included over 500 marketing agreements between the InVicta Club and resorts, clubs, and spas throughout the United States. Created a complete golf membership company on the Internet with all aspects of the company, exclusive of personal sales, administered and operated on the Internet. Created the World Scramble which included qualifiers at local, state, and regional areas culminating in a World Champion Tournament in Southern California and Las Vegas.

Created a private golf club-type membership in a resort property which included writing the charter to sell a continuous membership of 200 members. Created the programs for the private club membership and worked with staff and members to produce a membership with extremely high satisfaction levels.

Hired by the Board of Directors to increase revenues, build the membership, and improve the services of this 36-hole combination of a private equity club and resort in Northern California. Worked with the board to reduce expenses, refinance debt, and prepare short- and long-term strategic planning, operating budgets, roads, and grounds, security, plus golf and country club operations. Worked with all committees and assisted them in the planning and execution of their plans. Reported to the Board monthly on all financial and operational responsibilities of the properties.

Created an advisory services company focused on operations that included certified club professionals who would assist boards and owners with implementing best practices of operations. Worked with investment companies and owners to acquire golf and country clubs.

Promoted continuously to positions of more responsibility in the operation and management of private golf and country clubs. Started as a general manager with one club, was promoted to regional manager with five clubs, and was promoted to regional director with 13 clubs. Left the eastern region with a promotion to vice president and assignment in the west. Chosen to lead the transition of ownership of three private clubs in Palm Desert, plus fiscal responsibility for several other clubs in Southern California.
Provided operational support to managers and owners of Dove Canyon Country Club, Yorba Linda Country Club, Lomas Sante Fe Country Club, Sea Cliff Country Club, Palm Desert Country Club, Indian Ridge Country Club, Monterey Country Club, El Camino Country Club, and others as the company grew.
